Jim is responsible for the daily operations of Wight Construction Services, Inc., focusing on bridging the traditional gap between design and construction by integrating new technologies and advanced planning techniques in the delivery of our work. Jim understands the importance of aligning the budget, schedule, and scope from the earliest phases of a project to ensure that clients’ goals and expectations are achieved without sacrificing design excellence.

Jim’s project experience spans many markets and multiple geographies, including significant work on PK-12, Higher Education, Federal Agency and Commercial and Industrial projects. Over the course of his career, Jim has led the delivery of numerous award-winning Design-Build projects including most recently the Brother James Gaffney, FSC, Student Center at Lewis University and IBEW Local 134’s new Union Hall in the Bronzeville community of Chicago.

Jim earned a master’s degree in Construction Management at Clemson University and has successfully completed the Design-Build Institute of America’s comprehensive education and certification testing program to achieve the design-build industry’s highest designation as a nationally certified Design-Build Professional.™
