For this case we have that by definition, the slope of a line is given by:

[tex]m = \frac {y_ {2} -y_ {1}} {x_ {2} -x_ {1}}[/tex]

In this case we have to:

[tex](x_ {1}, y_ {1}) :( 3, -4)\\(x_ {2}, y_ {2}): (- 2,1)[/tex]

Substituting we have:

[tex]m = \frac {1 - (- 4)} {- 2-3} = \frac {1 + 4} {- 5} = \frac {5} {- 5} = - 1[/tex]

So, the slope is -1

ANswer:

[tex]m = -1[/tex]
