Explanation:

1. The tools became increasingly industrialized and man labor was required less and less to run it, This meant that less humans could farm more.

2. The crops that were grown until then would now change to more reliance of corn and other products.

3.  as the labor costs sprang up as the workers were no longer slaves of the plantation owners. This made the industry less lucrative than it was before.
