AB = 4m – 15

BC = 5m –6

AC = 15

To find the value of m:

AB + BC = AC

4m – 15 + 5m –6 = 15

Arrange the like terms together.

9m – 21 = 15

Add 21 on both sides of the equation,

9m = 36

Divide by 9 on both sides of the equation.
