Grasslands are the biomes that have grasses & nonwoody plants in dominance whereas savanna has woody plants like shrubs, trees, etc.

Explanation:

Savanna are found in those geographical regions where rainfall is limited & forest have canopy structure growth whereas grasslands have no scarcity of rainfall.

Example for grasslands are steppe, prairie while that of savanna are tropical savanna, park savanna.
