We have two same shapes of the kite. The top and bottom. Both are triangles so the formula is LxW divided by 2 equals Area. The length is 12 and width is 2. 12x2=24 then 24 divided by 2 equals 12. Since the bottom is the same, we do it again adding 12+12=24. The top is 6x2=12 but because when we cut it in half and then add again from the opposite side. It will be 12 in the end. After that we add 12+24 and the area will be 36ft2.
