now the formula for a circle is [tex]A=\pi r^{2}/2[/tex] , we devided it by 2 because its only half a circle.. now lets set up the equation...

[tex]A=\pi (8.5)^{2}/2[/tex]

A=113.5 so about 114, now that we found the area of both figures now lets just add..

114+289=403 m²
