the answer is 9. you start with 1+2 in the parenthesis and then divide 6 by 2. that gives you 3x3 which is 9

6 ÷ 2 (1 + 2)
PEMDAS - Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication/Divisions, Addition/Subtraction
1 + 2 = 3
6 ÷ 2(3)
6 ÷ 2 = 3
3 x 3 = 9
