feel like the peaceful protests were okay because no one got hurt. and all though the colonist were mad, in my opinion it should not have escalated to threatening civilians and destroying their property, but i believe that burning the taxed good did no physical damage to anyone and because of that reasoning i believe that probably was ok . i hope this help, since this is in my opinion not yours it could verywell just be wrong
