A) 2(-3) - 7 = -1          B) 3(-3) + 8 = 1
       -6 - 7 = -1                  -9 + 8 = 1
         -13 = -1                        -1 = 1

C) 1/2(-3) + 8 = 10          D) 1/2 (2(-3) - 6) = -6
     -1.5 + 8 = 10                      1/2 ( -12) = -6
       6.5 = 10                                -6 = -6
