A hockey player has an acceleration of −3.1 m/s2. How long does it take him to come to a complete stop from a speed of 13 m/s?

Use this formula:

final speed = initial speed + acceleration * time
0 = 13 - 3.1*t, t = 13/3.1 = 4.19354838709677 s = 4.2 seconds, might be enough since ur given 1 decimal place precision
