Add eight to both sides of equal sign.
2a=12
Divide both sides by 2
A =6

3b-8=10
Add eight to both sides of the equal sign.
3b=18
Divide by 3 on both sides
B= 6

A + b=
6 +6= 12

Your answer is 12.
